btw, I got one of those heated pet beds and Hendrick approves! We put it on the middle seat of our sofa and plugged into a Google/Alexa connected smart switch so we can set a schedule, voice command on/off, etc.

This is only her 5th one, and her best yet imo! I love the clapping hands, the flying hearts that trace out the shape of a heart, and the multiple firework explosions!

I almost forgot! It's time for a new phase of Smudge's diabetic journey:


Your cat is still diabetic but has now become diet-controlled. Continue feeding low carb food in the manner successful for your kitty. If you decide to change his/her feeding schedule, let your meter be your guide to the best times to feed. Avoid medications with sugar in them and steroid medications unless they are medically essential. Continue testing blood glucose weekly for the first month and then monthly forever. It's a good idea to weigh him/her monthly. Weight should remain stable. If he/she seems "off" or sick, or is showing signs of diabetes (excessive drinking, eating, urinating, weight loss), test his/her blood glucose right away. Keep the teeth and gums clean and healthy; dental issues can bring a cat out of remission. If you see rising blood glucose numbers, it's time for a visit to the vet!

so in case anyone didn't notice, in the very beginning of the video is a picture of a happy, healthy Smudge taken November 10th -- the day of his 4th reduction, after he had become well-regulated after only around 2 months of TR and Lantus!!


and then from the right-hand side a picture slides in that was taken on September 1st, when he was just six days removed from a FD dx and DKA episode.


If you look, you can really see the difference in the ear position and his expression and everything. From miserable to happy and healthy! What a transformation!! SO happy for you both @allicatmeow.
