Whoo hoo! WOW! I am in disbelief that after five years on the juice that my girl has gone OTJ!! Just amazing!!!

Osha Loves eating her fuds and she is so excited to have a party with siblings and all of her friends here on FDMB.

Osha spent the evening getting ready for her party today. She has her fabulous green party dress on for the occasion. All kitties here were on deck this morning preparing fuds for the party. Mycroft, Halloween, Big Brother and Small Kitty all helped Osha cook and clean for today.

All FDMB kitties and their civvies are welcome to get down and party. Come have some good meow conversations, climb the walls and hang out on the beds up high, or if you are a cave dweller we have many beds in hidey spots, the patio is open with some gorgeous weather and bugs, birds and critters are all around to watch, the large windows are a comfy spot to do some sunbathing, but most of all....Osha says to come and eat some yummy fuds!!!

Thank you so much to the FDMB members. The advice from two vets in the beginning almost led to Osha not being here anymore. I know you all saved her life. And then the bonus of meeting my husband on here is pretty amazing. The pic of us above is both sugar kitties, Osha and Small Kitty and us on our wedding day.

April 24, 2016, Osha went into DKA and triaditis. She was at the ER for 4 days and we did not know if she was going to live or not. She eventually came home with a TON of meds and a feeding tube. Five years later, she is OTJ! Hopefully this gives hope to someone that it is possible. But don't worry, I am not done with the sugar dance. Her now brother, Small Kitty, is still diabetic and on the juice, so we will continue the dance for him. He was diagnosed in March 2016, a month before Osha.

It is time to party!!!!! Whoo hoo!!!!

Yeah, it's a super big one. Osha off of juice ??? You would have tell me that a few
years ago I would have told you that you were dreaming. But, it's not impossible, after
hard work and consistency getting off of juice can be done.

HAPPY OTJ DAY OSHA !!!!!

It doesn't come free though, hard word, a ton of help and people from all around to sustain
you in this hard moment. Small Kitty followed the same path Osha did, exactly. He also
survived a DKA that almost got him for all. When the vet told me after the survival that now
on I had to bring SK to his office for a day stay so they can curve and give me the dose to
administer. That was not to be, never. And like for Osha, the group helped at a moment when
there was the greatest need. More than that, two members often posting at the same time
everyday became interested in discovering each other. After a few months the story had
developed into a live video like if living together but in two different country miles from
each other. Seeing each other had to happen and it did. At the bus central of NYC Amanda
and myself met each other for the first time. The light was on, stronger and stronger by
the day. Few years later we are husband and wife with my country of origin history.
Our love of cats, our interest in taking care of them no matter what made it natural
that this is what was to happen.
