Well let's just say I didn't expect it to happen this quickly! Dropped from 3.5 units to no shot in a week and a half. Two months on insulin, the second month being on Lantus, and now he's already on his honeymoon. He was just diagnosed May 25th! Just over a month ago he was still skinny and weak hiding under furniture, and now he's playfull, friendly, and re-established as alpha-male. I guess my boy is a poster child for the benefits of the protocol, Lantus, and first and foremost this community when caught early! Thanks all!

Anyway, I'm certaingly going to celebrate regaining my freedomg from an injection schedule! I deeply and wholeheartedly wish that you can all eventually join me in celebrating your kitties' recoveries! cat_pet_icon

I just watched it again and it's funny how the pictures show the relationship dynamic. Heart and Merlin are cautious around each other. No cuddling pictures, but they tolerate each other to be near each other. Heart and Kitten on the other hand are bestest of friends. The two just love each other, lots of cuddling and kissing.

And that handsome man at the end is of course their daddy ;)

I am impressed that you are able to give Heart a bath and you have the pictures to prove it... Awesome!
Heart's siblings are adorable. I loved Kitten and Heart snuggling.

I bet you guys have lots of fun at your house with air hockey and volleyball and dodgeball... Heart can really maneuver that ball over the net, hahaha!

You did a great job helping Heart find remission and now you can enjoy freedom from the 12/12 schedules, yeah!
Don't be a stranger, come visit the condos often, okay?

Oh I can't take credit for that, it wasn't me! That was the pet groomer. I was just the peanut gallery :) She gave him a bath, then he got dried, and then he got a hair cut and undercoat removal. He was definitely NOT a happy camper, but still very well behaved (groomer was very impressed), and that wasn't too long before his diagnosis either - maybe a month? My husband held it against me for a while, but I swear the short cut is what helped with the diagnosis, since it's harder to notice a starving kitty with long hair than one with a crew cut! Anyway, now that he's better, I am planning the next visit to the groomer ;)

I must admit I just now watched the video and I am amazed at how much heart looks like our boy cheddar (GA) they could be identical twins!!

I wish Odie was here too, I miss him so much. He's cheering for Heart too though, wherever he is.
