Hello all! It has been a long time since I have been on here, I have missed everyone. I am back here with some concern for my Jasmine. Jasmine has been officially OTJ since April/2010. Lately, I have noticed a spike in her glucose readings over the past several months which concerns me greatly. Her numbers are increasing as follows. I do spot checks and have noted the lowest during the month and the highest. There has been no change in her diet since she has been off the juice. Thoughts? Anybody have any advice? I Have had the vet check her blood as well.

OTJ - April 8/2010
May/2010 - range 48.6 - 73.8 (spot checking no specific times)
June/2010 - range 52.2 - 75.6
July/2010 - range 52.2 - 70.2
August/2010 - range 55.8 - 68.4
September/2010 - range 64.8 - 73.8
October/2010 - range 66.6 - 86.4
November/2010 - range 70.2 - 84.6
December/2010 - range 84.6 - 99
January/2011 - range 88.2 - 151.2
February/2011 - range 97.2 - 149.4
March 1/2011 - 174.6 (I know this was a few hours after she ate)

Hi Jodi
good to see you and Jasmine, althou we prefer no return trips (here, here!)

my first question regarding the numbers below, do you have the + hours these numbers were taken at?
and was there food before or during these numbers?
A suggestion: check her 3-4 hours after she eats, and possibly a curve on a day off if you can, to get an overall picture.
Anything out of the ordinary with vetty check up?

December/2010 - range 84.6 - 99
January/2011 - range 88.2 - 151.2
February/2011 - range 97.2 - 149.4
March 1/2011 - 174.6 (I know this was a few hours after she ate)

Thanks guys. These numbers range some before she eats and some were after she ate. No certain times, just whenever. I can do a curve. I have not had her teeth checked. I had her to the vet because she has been drinking tons of water and peeing a lot and this has been going on since she was diagnosed diabetic. Even OTJ, she still drinks and pees a lot. Thought maybe her new diet had something to do with it. She was to the vet a month ago. Generally blood work was good with these exceptions:
RBC 10.39 (high)
HCT 46.2%(high)
HGB 20.0 g/dL (high)
PLT 153 K (low)
GLU 9.91 mmol (high)
GLOB 58 g/L (high)
TBIL 16 mol/L (high)
CHOL 10.71 mmol (high)

Everything else recorded normal.

She eats 4 times a day still. Does she need to eat that many times (she is portion controlled) while not on insulin? She eats 9:00 am, 4 pm, 10 pm and 2 am. She demands she eats those times.
