Hi Everyone
I hope this finds you all doing well and your kitties doing wonderfully.

Purrcee has been in remission since July 9 and his numbers remain low but sometimes they seem really low in the 50s/60s. I am still feeding low carb canned and Young Again Zero dry which most of my cats like just okay.

Is it okay for him to be in the 50 range or does he need a bit more carbs? I could feed the 5% carb Young Again but is that too risky?

He seems to feel pretty good. Not drinking an abnormal amount of water, peeing normally, eating good, keeping his weight down and overall good!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Julie - good to get a Purrcee report. My other cat tests in the low 50's, so that's a nice normal number. Have you tried testing any of your other cats?

When Nikki first went OTJ a few weeks ago, she was pretty consistently in the 30's (with a few 20's thrown in  ) It about gave me a heart attack but she seemed fine, even at those low numbers. With a combination of keeping her carbs a little higher and feeding her more often (I alternate btwn 3-5% and 8-10% food and feed 6-8 times a day) her numbers have come up into the 40's and 50's. I'm much happier about that and she seems fine still. I think some cats just do run that low!
