Just a question when does Zorro get his last meal in the pm cycle?
Are his feed times the same AM and PM?
If he is going longer in the PM without food that may be what is contributing to the higher AMBG .
We have found that small regular meals throughout the day are easier on their fragile newly healed Pancreas, and can keep the overall numbers lower.
I have an auto feeder, George got snacks every 3 hours when he went of the juice, if for some reason he did not get up for his pm snack I would more often than not find that it was reflected in a higher ambg reading.
If you are not already doing it, it might be worth considering the small regular meals. Of course ambg is often a little higher than pmbg anyways (dawn phenomenon), but there does seem to be quite a difference in Zorros case, so was wondering if fiddling with the feeding schedule, might help even him out.
Gill and George - Yes I have noticed that too. I generally feed him through out the day and therefore his PMBG is low, but in the morning as its the longest between food its higher. I try to leave him enough wet food for overnight. I do have an autofeeder too but have only used in the past for dry food not wet.
While you are doing the trial it may be worth experimenting and seeing if you divide up his pm meals whether he will take eat them if you use an autofeeder.
George went through phases of being good and eating the snacks I left out, and then there were times when he would refuse to get out of his cosy bed
Spreadsheet looks great. Perhaps "dawn phenomenon" is playing a role with those blues at AMBG (Zoro is revving himself up in preparation for the day ahead).
