Matilda has been OTJ for about 7 months now after a quick stint on insulin follwing a rough pancreatitis/DKA combo last fall. She had been on oral steroids for asthma at the time which I believe also played a role in causing her to become diabetic. I've been testing intermittently (about every 2 weeks now) and her BG has been pretty normal, usually in the 70s and 80s with dips even into the 60s lately. She's still on wet food only but otherwise seems pretty stable.
I recently had a new roommate move in who also has a cat. The introduction has been a little rocky so far, despite keeping them 99% separate currently and going very slowly, and I have no doubt that it is causing some stress for Matilda. I just took her BG and it's a little high for her - 91 on our ReliOn meter. I'm not too worried by that number yet, but has anyone had a cat be knocked out of remission by stress? Or should I expect it to hover a little higher than average while she adjusts and then even back out?
