Quick background Milo went OTJ 5 years ago thanks to us finding this board. He was on Prozinc then. Wednesday he was not feeling well at all. Recent checks showed his numbers in 300 and 200s way up from normal 50s and 60s.
We went to vet around Thanksgiving for skin issues. We decided to monitor levels for 2 weeks. Wednesday he was lethargic and cried when you picked him up. At vet he tested about 400. Went home with pain meds and our Vetsulin as they were out of Prozinc. I read and posted on main board and realized Vetsulin not good.
Vet said as soon as Prozinc came in we could switch. Yesterday he just didn't look well and numbers not good. At +9 he was 370. Called vet and Prozinc was in.
I gave first shot at 6PM yesterday. It is amazing the difference in his numbers and how he feels. His meow and purr are again working. He is being social.
I know we have a ways to go with numbers.
I guess my main question is dosing. On Vetsulin it was 1U every 12 hours. On Prozinc vet put 2U every 12 hours. I did 1 U at both shots he's had.
in order to get better number should I do 2U. I am able to be home and test and momotor him for next several days. Our next shot is scheduled for 6pm.
