I alternate between freeze-dried salmon and freeze-dried chicken. I buy them both from Petsmart...the salmon is on the bottom shelf (at least at my store) in the kitty treat section, and the chicken is in the dog treat section. Oh, and they have freeze-dried shrimp in the kitty section at Petsmart too...but I think it costs more? I can't remember, I just know we haven't tried it.
 
At Petsmart, I got some called My Mighty Lion - you can look them up online for info.
Also Zuke's mini's chicken and salmon flavors. I get them in the dog section for the bigger bags.
Wal mart has freeze dried chicken, liver, and a few other flavors. Mine liked only the chicken ones.
For treats, Oliver gets cubes of raw chicken, and Shadoe prefers hers lightly steamed.

Just look over the ingredients on the ones in the stores and make sure no sugars or corn syrup or any of those ingredients.

There's nothing to stop you from using pill pockets for treats either. Get the allergy flavor peas and something else as that flavor is the only one with no sugar in the ingredients; the other pill pockets do.
