I went to Walgreens this morning to fill a prescription for Flame's Albuterol.

The manager there told me that they now have a Prescription Savings Club. I inquired about the cost of a Flovent inhaler for Flame's asthma (which are super expensive). Without the savings club it would be over $500 for a 220 mcg inhaler (yes, just one inhaler). With the savings club, the price came down to just over $300. The Albuterol would have cost over $70, with the savings club it came down to $52.

I've ordered his inhalers online and am waiting for them to come, but since I ordered from overseas it may take a while, so I wanted to know what the cost of the 220 mcg would be just in case I had to get it locally.

You can use the savings on both human and pet prescriptions and even diabetic supplies if your vet writes a script... so if your vet writes a script for test strips, you can use the savings on those too. I signed up today for myself, my son and Flame and the cost was $35 to join the savings club for the family for a year. I didn't think that was too bad since I already saved almost $20 today.

Not sure if anyone else ever uses Walgreens, but if you do I wanted to let you know this is available.

I have used the Walgreens saving card in the past but now I use another prescription card that I found on the internet. I asked the Walgreens' pharmacist which would result in less cost to me and it was the prescription card from the internet by a little amount. I do not remember which card it was though.
