Hi Everyone,

Two years ago today our dear Rusty journeyed to the Bridge. This morning I watched his commemorative video and thought that some of you would like to see it again (or see it for the first time). He was incredibly brave and loving. We miss him a lot!

Thanks to all the wonderful people at FDMB who helped us so much!

Thanks, guys, for helping me remember my boy. We never knew how old he was, but we think he was about 20 when he passed.

:bighug::bighug::bighug: for you all, scritches for your kitties, and fond greetings through the veil for your kitties at the Bridge.

Thanks for sharing the video Ella, can't believe it has been 2 years already. Love this pic:

Ella,

The circle of life is painful and beautiful at the same time. I wish I had known Rusty . . . I came on here too late, but it's so great getting to know him a tiny bit more now. I read a book several years ago - can't remember the subject or title - about a Norwegian Forest Cat. Fell in love with the descriptions and the beauty.
Currently, I am taking care of a Maine Coon with Rusty's overall look. His name is Bear, and he is my first Maine Coon to have such a close relationship with. They are all, and more, of what I expected. My only other experience with the breed was looking at them at a cat show about 30 years ago! I also know every individual has his own personality, but I've found how breed descriptions run true much of the time. Rusty's mix is very intriguing!

Just thinking about you again and sending love - his spirit is perfect and Very patiently waiting on you:rb_icon::bighug::cat::bighug::rb_icon:

Hello, Ella! I miss him so much. Those photos of him on the dining room table remind me of the last day I saw him, when he sat beside me on the table at breakfast. I have his portrait here, and I look at him every day. Hope you all are doing well!
Hi Linda! Thanks for the great photos of Rusty that you took on your visits. (note to all: Rusty came to us in a DCIN car relay and Linda drove the last lap. That was how we met way back in 2010.)
Yep, we're hanging in in Covid-19 limbo. Fortunately we can get out to canoe and hike. Gus is doing well, but this summer has been too hot for him in his long fur coat. Nevertheless, he goes out every day (with supervision) to "hunt" chipmunks. Rusty could have taught him a thing or two about successful hunting!
