OT-New database to check for veterinary research studies

The AVMA has established a new database that allows vets (and pet owners) to check for research studies being done on all kinds of diseases in several different species of animal

Thought I'd share the link with you (no diabetes studies in cats active right now...I checked)

For UK'ers the Royal Veterinary College, diabetes remission clinic, is currently recruiting for a study, inclusion criteria are: no steroids for the 3 months prior to diagnosis, and diagnosis within the past six months. A monthly visit to their clinic in Hatfield, Herts will be necessary, but they offer free food and insulin for a year if your cat is suitable for the study.

I thought they had a study or two going on but when I tried to find them, they didn't come up using the database..I searched for "diabetes", Any primary field", Location "UK" and species "Feline".....nothing came up! I wonder why?

Odd, but they do recruit via their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RVC.Diabetic.Remission.Clinic always something or other they are looking into and some interesting stuff on there from other studies and ongoing work.
