ETA-ultrasound report reposted in #6. I mainly post in Community now but I know most don't look there.

I need insight into Trippers issues. Sorry if this gets to long I will try to keep it short.

October 2020 Trip was dx hyperthyroid. Started methimazole suspension. At same time started giving 1/8 cup dry overnight to help get weight on her. She started vomiting. The thought was the methimazole was the cause. So it has been stopped, restarted and at lower doses but she continued to vomit. One day she vomited 6 times and I sat down and listed all the times she was vomiting. Didn't realize until it was written out, how bad it was. Also husband was giving her more dry food. Even after being told if Tripper needs something let me know. Do not feed her, tell me and I will take care of it. Of course he does not listen. Anyways, the few times she did not get the dry the vomiting was so much less. Finally insisted from primary to give the transdermal methimazole a try and liquid cerenia (didn't know it came that way). She wasn't on it long but still occasionally vomiting. Anyways, I take her to get abdominal ultrasound and it came back with everything normal. The IM doesn't think she is hyperthyroid. So methimazole stopped again on the 21st. So the IM called yesterday to check on her. I told him she was lethargic, eating even less which wasn't much at all. So he had me bring in this morning. He said the b12 is way low, pancreatitis (primary shrugged off the results from Antech) and now he believes she is hyperthyroid. So now as of today she is back on methimazole, cerenia, mirtazapine transdermal, and prednisolone (which scares the you know what out of me because of causing diabetes) for the pancreatitis. I scheduled a consult with a new vet weeks ago and that visit is this coming Thursday (May 27th).

So Primary says hyperthyroid, no pancreatitis
IM say no hyperthyroid, yes pancreatitis
IM on 2nd visit says yes hyperthyroid, yes pancreatitis

I confused at this time, don't know what to believe.

I am going to try and attach her records. So which they would fix the upload button.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Paula

Labs.

Edit: I took your address off one of the lab reports. You might want to delete the lab report from your first post and make reference to this post #4. :bighug:

What symptom/reasons led you to the Oct 20 vet visit?
When did the vomiting start?
How much weight has Ollie lost?
Have you been giving insulin?
All I can think is pancreatitis and that is painfull and besides the drugs you are giving subQ fluids are pain meds are also administered.
I agree with going to another vet.

Larry this isn't Ollie. This is civvie Tripper. She was eating very little, muscle wasting, restless, facial twitching, looking confused. Started vomiting in October after methimazole and dry food started. Weight bounces from 7-8.2 pounds in 3 weeks. She will go up to 8 lbs then start losing down to 7 lbs then starts back up to 8 then start back down to 7.
