OT Happy New Year

Hi friends. This is the first time I've started a condo and it's sure hard. I just want to wish you all a happy and healthy 2017! It would have been my mom's 96th birthday today. Hopefully she is comforting Max and Tiffany.

I have a little news. I am fostering two female kittens. I just picked them up yesterday and they are about 11 weeks old. Right now the bathroom seems like a huge place to them. One of them will climb on my lap but the other hasn't yet. Their safe haven is the carrier as they were picked up on the streets and have been in a cage for about three weeks. They are used to being held but the friendlier one at the office is now the shy one. I get first dibs on keeping them should I decide I'm ready and they are healthy. Right now Chai is sneezing a lot.

I miss Mr. Unpredictable more than I ever thought possible. One day in the near future he will get a fitting tribute. Too many losses last year. I hope this one is better.

(((Elise))) I like to think our GA's are together keeping watch over us, the first anniversaries without them are always tough :bighug:

Happy Birthday to you mom, and I hope she is surrounded by Max and Tiffany and their love, comfort, and purrs.

I know it's weird and hard to post condos, these days. These are our amazing friends and family here :bighug: and we miss them and want to reach out to them like we used to in whatever diabetic cat way that was.

Your two foster girls sure are cute. I hope Chai's sneezing goes away, and that they both soon give you lots of comfort.

Happy New Year. The first anniversaries are the hardest. Hoping 2017 brings peace and comfort to you.

Now about those cuties!!!!! Possible failed foster in your future. How did they find you? Please keep us posted on them. Love to see how they are doing.
 
Happy 96th birthday in heaven to your mom, elise. My mom's 91st would've been 12/30. Moms are so special. Thinking about you.

Those kittens are about as cute as they could possibly be!! Which one will climb on your lap now? They are gorgeous - I've always wanted a seal point but never had one. Both look very sweet.

It's good to see a condo from you. I'm celebrating the little ones who are lifting your heart a bit.

Happy birthday (a little late, as usual for me) to your DM. The first one is the hardest. It never gets easy, but it stings less as time goes by. I know that she and Tiffany and Max are watching over you and so pleased that you are starting to open your heart again.

You're such a strong lady Elise and those kitts are lucky to have you as foster bean. Happy Birthday to your DM and surely Mr. Max man and Tiffney are there with her. Always vines, prayers and tons of :bighug::bighug::bighug:for you.

Those two kitties are very nice. Will be fun to have two different breeds, think the short air
one will be the running cat and the long air the lazy one :). You're right regarding
the transition from jail to liberty.. They will get used to it !

Good action, those little kitties are very lucky !

Hi Elise, Thinking of you in this New Year and hoping that it will be a good one for you. Those foster kittens sure are cute. I hope they will keep you amused (certainly busy!) and perhaps rekindle memories of Max and Tiffany when they were kittens. Your mom, Max, and Tiffany are smiling down on you.

Thanks for keeping up with the board. It means a lot to us to have your help and friendship.

The kittens are actually siblings. They were found together. Mocha, the one that looks like a seal point actually isn't.

A friend volunteers for a pet group that shows cats and kittens at a pet store. I stopped in to say hi and asked about how I could get kittens and chose the right time to get them spayed or neutered. I saw a black one with gorgeous green eyes but they wouldn't let me hold him. Actually Bear is a she too! So I went to their offices to see him on Wednesday. He was on clavamox and very listless. So I looked around and found these two eventually.

They were found on the streets of South L.A. They had fleas and a flea reaction but were supposed to be healthy. I decided to foster them. Once home on Saturday they were making noises and sneezing.

Chai is the friendly one but the one who is still sneezing and some wheezing. She wouldn't eat much yesterday but seems more interested this morning. She even turned down Gerbers turkey! I bought some ff kitten since they were feeding her the classic turkey and today she's eating a little. She's the friendly one and very playful. So hopefully she isn't too sick. She's going to be a handful. She keeps biting on my clothes! I think she might need a vet and antibiotic but am waiting to hear from the rep.

Which baby food they will eat depends on who they are being whispered to by, Tiffee or Max!;)

I don't know how I missed this but I'm so glad to see a post from you. Happy New Year, my friend. I know it is very difficult without your sweet Max and also your mom.

Chai and Mocha are precious and I'm glad, even if you on,y foster them, that they know the love of someone like you. I hope they bring you smiles and joy for as long as they are with you. It was a very kind thing to do for the two sweet girls.
