Anyone feed byNature? 95% Beef & Liver?

I've had it before and Checkers loved it. It was grain free
They've changed it and I didn't notice until I got home, 'cause the label is almost the same.

Old Recipe...still on their website
http://www.bynaturepetfoods.com/product ... cat.php#bl

Ingredients: Beef, Beef Liver, Meat Broth, Tricalcium Phosphate, Guar Gum, Cassia Gum, Carrageenan, Calcium Carbonate, Minerals (Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Cobalt Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Sodium Selenite, Potassium Iodide), Inulin, Vitamins (Vitamin E, A, D3, B12 Supplements, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Biotin), Choline Chloride, Flaxseed Oil, Salt, Taurine.

New Recipe has ~suncured alfalfa meal, and flaxseed added.

I don't know if the alfalfa has carbs. When you call a company, you don't get a straight answer, the way we need it.

Anyone know about this food? It's not on Janet' list.....or I can't find it there.

edited to change a word to 'flaxseed'

Hi Barb, sounds like a good food if Checkers likes it, but too bad they changed some ingredients. I hope someone here has some answers.
I tried Merrick BG for Maggie which also had some veggies listed which I wondered about, and at the time it seemed to cause rise in her numbers even though it was low carb.

I hate when they do that Ann. He loved the old formula, and Checks isn't crazy about many foods.
I just don't know how to find out if alfalfa meal is a carb.

Thanks Sienne, I can never remember which the right term is, because they will give different values.

Also I said 'alfalfa' twice......I meant alfalfa and flaxseed.
