Haven't been here for ever (Sheryl and Roxy). Hope you have all been well!

My last Brico order didn't go through correctly so I emailed them and they said they would correct it and send my stuff.
I just received it today and noticed the lactated ringers and admin sets have DEHP (I ordered the Hospira without since they don't appear to have the BBraun anymore).
Anyway, I remember being advised here previosly to get the DEHP-free. Just wondering how big of a deal it is to use the supplies with it. Obviously with how heavy the carton is, it would be a pain to return if they even do that.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice!

Sheryl

What I have read I would not be concerned since, sad fully, a cat is not on fluids that long compared to like a human kid who could get them for there whole, long live.

fyi for future purchases - brico does carry non-DEHP hospira bags now. they're a few dollars more per case, compared to the DEHP bags.

Thank you both! I ordered the DEHP-free Hospira but the order got messed up. Kind of sucks that this will last me close to a year so I'm stuck with it for awhile but it is what it is. I've been ordering fluids from them since '06 and this is the first mess up so I won't complain too much.
Enjoy your weekend!

have you checked with your local pharmacies to see if they can special-order it for you? if they can, you'll save on shipping. i get our bbraun from cvs - it's $28+ for a case. i know k-mart's pharmacy can get it for us too. and some get hospira from costco - you don't need to be a member.

you'll need a rx from your vet, and the ndc from the bag, when you call the pharmacies to ask. most won't know what LRS are, but if you give the ndc, they can look it up in their computers.

you'll still need harpoons and lines from brico though. but it'll be cheaper to ship those minus the fluids.
