Vet finally called with Oreo's lab results. She said his fructosamine showed good glycemic control. His glucose was 216 taken there at the vet. His UA was fine. She said his kidney function was great. He had a slightly elevated ALT which she said can happen with cats with hyperthyoidism, but his T4 was within a normal range, even though it was at the high end of normal. She said we could do a free T4 to dig into a little bit more but since he's not losing weight, vomiting, and the only clinical signs he has is the increased drinking, she suggested repeating the liver and thyroid panels in four to six months unless any other symptoms arise. I'm relieved about the fructosamine and the kidney function so pretty good news.
