Hi all! Since Roo just earned a reduction from 0.25 to 0.1, I decided to bite the bullet an order a pair of calipers. They should be here on Sunday.

Anyone have any advice or tips before I start? Shooting tomorrow in the meantime is gonna be a doozy trying to see that small dose. I am using the Relion syrings with half unit markings.

Hi! I love my calipers, can't imagine how I dosed without them! I also use a magnifying visor with headlamp similar to this, was around $20-something on Amazon, and a light box from Walmart ( in the lamp department) around $13. Some just use a magnifying glass and hold it up to a light, but I'm a clutz and need all my hands available lol. And I thought my vision was pretty good until I started using a magnifier lol!! With love, nikki

I just wanted to say thanks for this post. I didn't know such things existed. As Myrtle is on 0.50 or less I find it hard to be consistent with measuring her dose - especially when sometimes the markings on the syringe differ. I swear this morning I had to draw insulin before I even got the 0 marking on the syringe I was using. Obviously accuracy is so important on the smaller doses. I've just looked online and my local hardware store has them so I'll be making a trip this afternoon. Thanks!

I agree with micro dosing always giving the same amout is important, and I did found out the the marks in the syringes are not always the same the difference is minimal and probably for human consuption not really relevant but when dosing drops it is important so I ended up always measuring from the top of the syringe not the cero mark, I used also some reading glasses with a lot more prescription that I would ever need, the kind you easily find in the stores so really pretty cheap to help me see the dose .

I used caliphers also but I ended up making a scale with the help of the calipers that I placed on the fridge ( I found out that at least for me to compare the syringe with the scale if it was vertical was easier )
