So much for hoping for a little change and staying in the 300s. Kitty was 489 pmps---I shot 3 units.

The vet told me that I would see swings like this due to the recent DKA for at least 3 weeks--do y'all think that is true?

I am trying to do like Sue said and look at the "whole cat," and yes she does act like she is feeling okay.

Her appetitie has not been as BIG today--so I am hoping that is a good sign. I was worried about the ketones, since she didn't eat quiet as well, so I tested tonight---negative. Maybe a little pink (trace) showing, but it looked more like negative on the stick.

I hope everyone has a good night--and thanks again for helping Kitty and me.

Thanks for the admiration---BUT, I am not sure I'm worthy--or how calm I am! I really want to get Kitty in better numbers, but as I look at other spreadsheets, I realize every cat has swings. I am just hoping Kitty's swings are due to the recent DKA and she will get in a better cycle soon.

I have been a nervous wreck for the last two weeks---but, I keep hoping it will get better.

I hope the pepcid helps Harley.

I would give it some time. As long as you aren't seeing ketones and you aren't seeing a whole cycle of high numbers, I would let her settle in. If she is eating and drinking and acting normal, just love her up and do that breathing thing.

And Kim, please update your spreadsheet so we are all aware of your recent numbers.
