Oh my Loki given wrong food

My son who is wonderfully responsible at 14 wanted to help me with the cats supper tonight, he know that his grandparents just moved in and both need 24 hr care so he really wants to help around the house, anyway he got the cats food ready. Loki's wellness and Etoiles CD, both canned and microwave them for 6 seconds expect he thinks he gave Loki's food to Etoile and Etoile's food to loki. The kid feels terrible but I explained that it was an accident and to pay better attention next time, now my ? is this? I just got a preshot reading on Loki of 100 so I was holding the insulin should I recheck him tonight and if yes in how many hours? Thanks if you can get to read this tonight so I can relax a little.

It's not a big deal - not as much a problem as a fur shot. Great preshot number and good decision to skip. Reduction in the morning needed. I would guess it might increase the numbers for a few hours after eating but he probably will settle back down. No worries. Relax.

Agree, this is not a big deal. One meal of CD isn't going to affect anything except for this one cycle, and it'll be long gone by breakfast time. Kudos to your dear son for pitching in to help, and make sure he knows this is not a problem. We had a zoo's worth of animals in and around the house when my daughter was 14, and I can't remember her ever asking if we could use a helping hand. ;-) You're a lucky mom!
And since you skipped, you get to take the night off! I'd save the strips for another day, and just test in the morning before his breakfast shot.
