My last post was before the pandemic
In the life we led before the pandemic Radar was home during the day on his own and we could only monitor him in the evening and on weekends. It seems like that was at least a million years ago.
In the months since then Radar has become very used to us always being home and we are very glad to be here with our extra sweet senior kitty. He's really started showing his age in the past few months. His cataracts have gotten worse and he's not able to jump up on things like he used to. He is only able to eat on his own about half the time, but since we are home most of the time we can feed him as needed and provide pain medication for his arthritis during the day. We've recently been able to help him feel much better with fluids administered by our vet on a regular basis.
He still really enjoys playing with his mouse and sitting by an open window to smell the great outdoors. His motor is in excellent condition and is audible across the room as he enjoys frequent lap sitting and petting sessions.
Each morning after breakfast he carefully washes his face and then looks for a comfy spot for a nap. We are delighted that our sweet old man kitty is doing so well despite his many issues. We are focused on enjoying every moment of his company while doing everything we can to maintain his quality of life.
