Chester has been on ProZinc for about four days now after switching from Vetsulin. He’s currently on 1 unit twice a day. I’ve tested his blood sugar each time at injection, and it’s been right around 270 for the past couple days. I also feed him a can of wet food at injection time. Tonight I noticed that his blood sugar an hour after eating/injection had actually risen to 371. Is this at all normal?

Thanks!

Yes all normal. It takes a while for the insulin to start working and if you have given food, that will raise the blood sugar levels until the insulin starts taking effect.
It is great you are home testing,
Would you like to set up a spreadsheet to add all your data into? It's a great tool and helps a lot with dosing and seeing where you are heading. Here is the link
