After a week of upped dosage of PZI to 3u I have tested him today at 3 hr intervals and got the lowest number in weeks. I just got new test trips today, checked the calibration with the calibration fluid and all checked out. You can see his numbers have still fluctuated greatly over the past week. He’s been off of the Clavamox for over a week now and is not showing indication that his infection (dental) is coming back yet. I’m calling the vet tomorrow to get his take. I’m hopeful that after weeks of very high numbers preventing his dental surgery we may see progress to have this done sooner than later. Bryant is eating and drinking, he’s only on low carb FF & Friskies pate, still ravenous most of the time.
 
That is good news David. I looked at your recent PZI thread. Infections can cause BG fluctuations.

I agree with the continued dosage increases. Your kitteh is at super high levels. High persistent BG is toxic. It looks like you are doing the right things. It will be helpful if you can get mid-point BG tests (at 6 hour marks) whenever possible. That helps measure effectiveness of the dose.
 
Hi David - I don't think you have any other new threads. The insulin levels you are providing are a good start. And you are doing a good job keeping the spreadsheet updated. Recommendations:
- continue trying to get +6hr readings, so we can evaluate insulin effectiveness
- increase the dose by 0.5
- keep the same dose for 3 days then do the increase if needed

The target is to get the 6hr readings in the 100-150 range. Your kitteh will end up with neuropathy pretty soon if you can't get the high numbers knocked down.
