NS for 96 hrs, low BG advice

Hello! Pluto hasn't had a shot in 96 hours now and has been primarily testing in the 100's. I wanted to give his ears (and me) a break today so we only did an AMPS which was 114. Fed his FF as usual. I caught him eating the dog kibble not once, but three times today. Probably only a few bites but I was worried his PMPS would be pretty high because of this.

PMPS came in at 64. I waited and tested about 25 minutes later and it was 52. I hadn't fed him yet. I just gave him some FF, but I don't have any gravy wet. I do have some of his old dry Science Diet. Should I give him some of that or do we think he will be alright with just the FF? I assume I should test maybe at +2? Just really not sure what to do with numbers so low given the fact he hasn't had insulin since the evening of March 9.

A cat can't hypo without insulin. Please don't give high carb! If he can go two weeks without insulin you are officially in remission! Good luck

I thought someone else referenced that they couldn't go hypo since he hadn't had insulin, but seeing it drop so low just worried me! I just tested at +1.5 and he's at 68 so it's going up. I didn't end up giving him any of his old Science Diet dry. Thanks for some reassurance!

Some cats are naturally in the 40's and 50's.... Without insulin it's not a problem. Crossing my fingers for you

It’s always scary when you get that low number! It’s definitely a good thing though!
