Sorry I also posted this question in my intro. Muffin was diagnosed 6/1; glucose 475. Vet prescribed Lantus 1 unit 2 times a day. I decided to put her on a low carb diet starting 6/2. Today 6/5 her fasting level was 248; 2 hours after eating it was 293. Should I continue her low carb diet and not shoot yet or should I continue her low carb diet and shoot. If I should shoot should I reduce dose? Any advice you have would be appreciated. Thanks!
