After a honey moon of about a year, Nomad's BG began slowly rising and he is back on .75 units Lantus BID. NO ketones so far HUR3*: for that. Like before, my main issue is accurately getting such small doses of Lantus. I am using the BD syringes with half unit marks. Is there currently any U-40 insulin that is loNger lasting available in the US? Since this would be more dilute giving micro-doses wouLd be easier. Another alternative would be to have a U-100 insulin diluted.. I know Lantus can't be diluted. How about any other long-acting insulins on the market? So far Nomad has been doing fairly well with his preshot BG ranging from 150 to just over 200.

For those of you who may remember Katrina my oldest cat, she is going to turn 22 on November 15. She has artritis and some hearing loss. But all in all she is doing well considering her age.

Please excuse any typos. I am doing this from my cell phone and the screen is really small LOL

No really. The only U40 insulins are ProZinc, like the old PzeVet except uses human recombinate insulin instead of the combination of 90% bovine and 10 porcine insulin. The other BCP PZI.
