I haven't been here in a while, but wanted to come by and say thank you to all of the wonderful people here. I got almost 4 extra years with Noah even with the diabetic diagnosis. We got a remission, but the disease came back and by the end he was showing so many acro signs. He died in my arms at home on Sunday. He left a huge hole in my heart. I really would like to give Noah's supplies to someone in need. I know how expensive everything is.

I have 5 new insuline cartridges (Lantus) and 2 open cartridges.
I have a injector pen (for junior) with needles.
I have lancets.
I have a couple of gabapentin pills left.
I have a couple of FORTEKOR pills left.
I have some extradermal codeine left.
I have some bupenorphine left.
I have aerokat for asthma medications.

I'm in Gatineau, Québec (near Ottawa). Would love to be able to help out someone.

(((Melanie))) My deepest sympathies on your loss. :bighug::bighug::bighug: I am glad you got four extra years for him. It's hard to care for an acro and manage multiple conditions. Take care of yourself.

BTW: I would remove your email address and get people to PM you. There are unfortunately people and programs out there that look for people email addresses.

For those not in Canada, Fortekor is the brand name for benazapril here. Supposed to be edible, but no self respecting cat actually eats it.
 
Dear Mélanie, Your sweet Noah is at peace and welcomed by his old pals at the Bridge. They will keep him "in good paws" until that wonderful day when you are reunited. Thank you for your generous offer to give Noah's supplies to another kitty. Noah certainly approves! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

My heart breaks for you, Melanie. I am so sorry for your loss. Your selflessness trying to find a good home for Noah's supplies right after losing him is really admirable. He was lucky to have such a caring momma. :bighug:
 
So sorry for your loss! How hard that must have been with him passing in your arms but I’m sure he felt the love and compassion during his last moments. RIP Noah

It's always crushing when we lose our sugar baby, but please know that he is now at peace and chasing those beautiful butterflies on the other side.

I'm so so sorry to know another person is feeling how I'm feeling right now. I'm hoping they are playing around together too. Sending healing vibes your way.

Thank you for the laugh. I needed it. Noah did not like the taste of the benazapril (FORTEKOR). I had to bribe him with multiple treats!
 
There are many of us who know the "hole in the heart" that a kitty at the Bridge leaves. It's a good thing -- we never forget them.
