My Corky uses FreeStyle2 sensors, it's been an unfortunate roller-coaster with the sensors from the get go, this time after two sensor, back to back, he did not have one since Friday, Just placed one at 7:46 pm teste and his glucose is 360,,I've been been winging his high and lows from past readings, he's fine, not drinking excessively did not each much on his 4PM feeding/dose so I WAS AFRAID, and instead of dosing 2.5 I dose 2.0 is this why is high like this? he's next feed/dose is at 4:PM
I also need to know if there is a fundraiser that can fund me one ProZinc bottle, I will not be able to purchase one once this one is finished, I will not be back on my feet from this disaster until Oct 1st. I only have 1/4 full bottle I'm so scared to run out, and I cannot even go to the vet until then for prescription for the Prozinc or Syringes,, It's a scary mess

Hi,
It would help us help you if you could set up a spreadsheet so we can see what is happening with the blood glucose.
HELP US HELP YOU has the links to the spreadsheet and the signature, both of which we need to be able to help you woth dosing. If you have truble with setting up the SS I will ask @Bandit's Mom to help you.
Have you thought about using hand held glucose meters instead of the libre sensor which is much more expensive. You can get a Premier ReliOn meter for $9 at Walmart and a box of test strips for $17.88
Without seeing some BG data I cant tell you why the BG is 360.
Have you been testing for ketones in the urine? You can buy a bottle of ketostix at Walmart for less than $20. All you need to do is collect a urine sample and then test the urine with a test strip reading it exactly 15 seconds after you dip it into the urine.
There is an organisation called Diabetic cats in need. I will tag @Chris & China (GA) about that for you.

Always aim for the sweet spot warm the ears up first, you can put rice in a sock and put it in the microwave, test it on the inside of your wrist to be sure it's not to hot, like you would test a babies bottle. You can fill a pill bottle with warm water and roll it on the ears also.Just keep rubbing the ears with your fingers to warm them up

6. As the ears get used to bleeding and grow more capilares, it gets easier to get the amount of blood you need on the first try. If he won’t stand still, you can get the blood onto a clean finger nail and test from there.
When you do get some blood you can try milking the ear.
Get you finger and gently push up toward the blood , more will appear
You will put the cotton round behind his ear in case you poke your finger, after you are done testing you will fold the cotton round over his ear to stop the bleeding , press gently for about 10 or 20 seconds until it stops
Get 26 or 28 gauge lancets
A lot of us use the lancets to test freehand not the lancing device
I find it better to see where I'm aiming
Look at the lancet under a light and you will see one side is curved upward, that's the side you want to poke with
Here is a video one of our members made testing her kitty
She's using a pet meter that has to be coded ,with a human meter you don't have to code it.
I have always used a human meter

I saw this video, thank you, I already invested on the FreeLibre2 Monitor and more sensors, it works quite well, my problem is not so much the testing any longer since I bought more sensors(3) to last me a month since they last 14 days and sometimes they don't, my situation now is buying the ProZinc, this month I spend my last cent of savings on him he was diagnosed on July2nd. The bottle of Prozinc only has 1/4 full, can't afford the vet bill nor the insulin not this month coming up. I don't know what I'm going to do about this, The insulin is my biggest problem is this bottle I have
You were also very helpful thank you, I will keep this in mind
