My cat RODNEY presented last December with high by. I gave him 3 units VETSULIN for 28 days. Switched from dry 2 wet. When we went back 2 vet for check up. Glucose 91. Stopped insulin. Monitor water intake.

About 3 weeks ago. I noticed return if drinking more peei g more. Took him to get yesterday. By 454. Started VETSULIN again.

What could have knocked him out of remission? No changes.

Teeth are fine. No they just put him back on VETSULIN. I let him eat with me. He likes 2 taste things. Nothing with sugar. Usually only meat.

Was he overweight last December? Is he underweight now? (Body condition chart.)

By way of general info, your kitty may possibly have been out of remission (BG >120mg/dL on human meter, >150mg/dL on a pet meter) for some time before his water intake increased so markedly.

As T suggests above, it's advisable to perform urinalysis to check whether there may be a UTI present (a common reason why cats may fall out of remission).
