NK is all mixed up!

Newbie Kits is blessed to run on the material donations so generously given by so many.
Whether they be toys, sockies, strips, meters.
However with my latest request for restocking I have been supplied to the hilt....with supplies so difficult to match up without funds.
Please know that material donations are the life blood of NK. But I am sitting here with strips I have no meters for...and meters I have no strips for.

I also have 150 accu-check comfort curve strips with a little over one month to live.
Until NK I had NO IDEA of the variety of meters all under the name of one meter....each taking it's own special strip.

This is where some expendable cash is really needed.
Many people emailed me that cash was on the way....only 2 arrived. Thank you CD and KSA
This money is already spent making up for $$ I have laid out sending kits out sans postage paid and a few supplies (meters and strips) at the CVS----sorry but they were immediate needs.

Cindy seemed to have a nice cash flow if I remember right.
Maybe times are harder...well, of course they are.
And Beloved DCIN needs $$$ and I am oh so glad they get it.

But if you have any small donation you can put into the donation part of NK web store...thank you for it.

I will never let NK fail. I won't. I have spent hours trying to match up kits only to realize...hey these strips don't REALLY go with this meter but it sure looked like it did!

With Tom gone, making up NK is a time I feel connected to both him and you....
help me make sense of all this material I have and put together a few dozen kits....yes a few dozen.
I have that many unmatched sets.
And a few dozen goes....well, at times , relatively quickly.

Apparently the process is beyond me...
i click on donations, then i change the qty. Then i hit the update cart button, and i keep getting a message saying my cart is empty? Is my sequence wrong?

Carl, just put the number in the donation cart...and call me... :lol:
 
hit donation cart. then it will show $1. erase that and put the actual number you want and hit the other thing, not empty cart.....display cart and press send.
It's not the amount it's the volumn of beans I can invite to ge involved in this endeaver.

No, that's new. I added it last week. I missed being a "newbie", so I figured I'd see what I could do to help! Venita and Jennifer are doing a wonderful and patient job with training me until I get up to speed. I'm finding it incredible that such a small group of folks do such amazing things, and so many people are so willing to pitch in and help. It's humbling as well.

I was able to fight my way through it on the PC. Must be something to do with the phone/browser I use. Anyway, I got it to work finally.

awww, joanna...those tiny bits are the most appreciated. becuase they come from the heart. I am getting a lot of tiny ones and i'm afraid i don't recognize the names. hope your says joanna.

Once again I'm a bit overwhemed with the response. I've asked for funds every so often and never had so many responses.
Just like with paying Tom's respects.
Love seems to be falling from the sky.
I have'nt gone to paypal to see what I'm up to.
But I'm thinking I must be close to my hoped for but not expected amount of $400.
Tuckers Mom (Jennifer) thinks I should hold on to the $50 so generously sent by DCIN....even once I make goal. (I never really had a goal, was hoping for the best) But not sure.
I mean I would have enuf to get me pretty far with $350....and DCIN seems to do alot of real life or death type work.
My heart and my gut says send it back.
I've already gotten more donations than I ever thought I would.
 
Oh CARL, got yours too! PZI has never donated before. I am so very grateful. By the way Sue is a regular financial donar....Sue ROCKS....but like we so already knew that right?

Take and use every penny you get! Don't worry about sending the dcin donation back either. Whether it's dcin or NK or whoever, it all ends up in the hands of those who need it, and that's all that matters. Every day this place blows me away...

I sort of thought of it as a donation in Tom's memory. :) My finances are only just starting to loosen up in the past couple of months, so I am working on getting my priorities straightened out (#1 kitties #2 everything else!)

hehe lori it said your name on my credit card statement will be "lorilovepea" - I figure if anyone looks at that they'll think I was paying for some kinky porn, lol!
 
It took me a while to figure it out - there's the newbie kits link in Lori's sig, then you have to click on Web Store, then I had to click a few times to get things to work. Good luck! :)
 
Oh, Oh, I know how now!

Kim,
Go to the newbie kit sticky, then click on web store.
Then "donations", and then it'll show you a qty of 1 as the default. Change that to whatever you want to donate. Then "update cart", and it should now show the qty and the dollar total. Then just hit the cart button, and it'll take you to your paypal account page.
