NG tube issues

My boy was hospitalized and had an NG tube put in so I could feed him at home. He's been back at home now since the evening of 9/5.

Apparently a hair ball got stuck on the end of the tube, he threw it up, and chewed off a portion of it, so I'm guessing it now only goes down the back of his throat an inch or so, instead of all the way to his stomach. I'm wondering if I should take him back to the ER to have the tube removed or replaced or can this wait until tomorrow??? He doesn't seem to be bothered by it and is still eating on his own a bit.

I just talked to the clinic - they said to bring him in to have it replaced. So we are going there now.

They ended up taking out the tube when I went in on Sunday and thought it better not to replace it since he was eating on his own again.
