? Newly diagnosed kitty vet suggested 8 units Caninsulin

Her kitty is newly diagnosed and her vet suggested 8 units Caninsulin once a day!!!!

I will only be around for a while and then will be away for a longer period of time.

THIS MUST BE CORRECTED BEFORE SHE GIVES THE SHOT

I'm not sure if she has or not. I am trying to get a response back from her. This is incredibly dangerous and potentially deadly.

I know... I just saw her other post where she says her cat was ok with the injection so I don't know what she means by that... that was an hour ago.

It is so scary that "professionals" are giving this sort of advice...especially for a newly diagnosed kitty. Either the vet is an idiot or the information was given incorrectly. In either case the kitty is the one that suffers.

We posted on the FDMB page...but we don't know her FB name. I sent her a PM through FDMB but so far nothing and she is not on FDMB right now. I pray she did not give the shot.

I have removed the 911 since she is not on right now. I will be around another hour and Diana will be around about the same. I tagged a couple of people on her thread so hopelfully she will be back and praying that she didn't shoot that dose.

The vet gave a shot yesterday and she gave one today. Hopefully her kitty is on high carb dry right now. That might be the only thing preventing a serious hypo.

Oh my goodness . This poor cat. These vets scare me so much my cat is in recovery in the hospital as we speak from 5 units had a hypo episode . 3 days hospitalized now. Please be careful everyone!!!
