Hi everyone,

I'm so glad to have found this fourm. It's been a rough couple of weeks to say the least. I feel some relief after reading just a few posts, so thank you!

My kitty is a 12 year old tabby female. Always seemed absolutely healthy until 3 weeks ago, just overnight I woke up to her not wanting to move or eat. I took her to the vet immediately. She was diagnosed with pancreatitis and diabetes. She was hospitalized for two days and is now on insulin. Less than a week ago, the vet called and said she also has acromegaly.

So that's my story. I'll now continue to read your posts for more knowledge, and maybe even some hope. Right now I have very little. I can't bear to see my her go through such pain and discomfort. We haven't found the right insulin dosage yet, but I'm afraid once we do we'll just need to keep increasing. I don't know at what point I should draw the line and put an end to all of this.

Thanks for reading, I'm glad I found you.

Oh my goodness! That's an awful lot to be hit with all at once! You have most definitely come to the right place. There are so many experienced people who can help you. I look forward to learning more about you and your kitty! While my buddy Lou doesn't have acro, he was diagnosed with IAA, which is another high dose condition. :bighug:
