My cat was diagnosed with feline diabetes about 4 weeks ago. Her blood sugar was tested around 10 days in, the dosage seemed perfect.
When brushing her, I've noticed some scabs near her tail, like dermatitis. She doesn't have fleas & is an indoor cat. I thought, I'll give it a couple of days to see if it passes.
In the last 2 days, she's now also had diarrhoea & today she's been a little more lethargic than she's recently been. I bought a glucose reader (alphatrak) & used it promptly today as I've been a little worried about her... her glucose is 19.9 and I gave her insulin just a couple of hours ago.
Do you think her feeling unwell with diarrhoea and itchy skin could cause enough stress to increase her glucose?
I'm still very early on into Milly's diabetes journey - any help and advice appreciated.
