Okay I'm trying to figure out all this insulin stuff .. I'm supposed to be using u40 syringes. But the pharmacy gave me u-100. I'm not too sure how to read a syringe. Do I just do half of a 5 that's on the syringe. For the conversion
Lucy is getting one unit two times a day thanks

Next time you buy syringes look for the U-40 with half unit markings, it makes it much easier, if your pharmacy doesn't have them you can get them on line at ADW Diabetes, call then and they will contact your vet for the script, tell her to give you a years worth of refills, mine did

Costco had them for like $35. But did not have the half marks. Several people suggested getting them from Walmart so that's what I did not realizing they were the wrong size. But somebody on Facebook feline page show me a picture on where to draw the insulin to

U-40 is a pet-only insulin so it won't be available at any pharmacy. I recommend printing out the conversion chart in the event that Lucy's dosage changes, that way you can reference it directly instead of asking online.
