I'm new to this forum and FD, so pardon my ignorance and perhaps stupid questions.
Regarding diet, I looked over this awesome spreadsheet by Lisa Pierson, DVM;
however, this is a lot of data to sort through. I'm looking for a "short-cut" to the answer:
What food to buy at the local grocery store that won't kill my diabetic cat?
I'm seeing references to Fancy Feast Pate (no gravy, "classic pate").
Any other recommendations?
Friskies pates are also a good option. There are also some Purina Pro Plan, 9Lives, and Meow Mix pates that would work. I think most of us like the Fancy Feast because it's widely available and has a simpler list of ingredients than a lot of other grocery store options so it's less likely to cause digestive upset.
It lets you set a max carb percentage and only shows items that fit that criteria. It makes it much easier to find options that are available in your area.
