I got the Zobaline last night in the mail, seemed to take forever!
My question is, how much to use? Skittles is 14 pounds. I did crush up one pill and to make sure he got it all I hand fed him last night.
He is still doing great , still no juice since 12/5!
I'm going to try and post a video of him playing just a few mins ago. Of course as soon as I start recording he stops playing LOL!
I posted a video a few days ago of him walking in another thread of my in the health forum. It's short but you can get idea of how bad his legs are. I'm going to try and get a better video of him walking.. hopefully running too

Two different videos ( should anyway)
Edit...
Haven't trouble with second video

Can't get the other one to post, keeps posting the first one again! The second shows his legs better!
I will try later, have to get ready for a wedding

Hi Sherri - loved the video. Sure would like to see the one where he is walking. If you bought Zobaline, then it is probably a 3mg tablet and you give 3mg per day. I cut the tablet in half and gave 1/2 in AM and 1/2 in the PM. Because it is water soluble, then it can quickly be absorbed into the body and taken out in the urine. That is why I cut the tablet in half. If you give more, that is ok because it is water soluble and the body will only take so much and get rid of the rest. Hope that helps.

All the videos are great, Sheri. Especially the one where he has the mouse against the door and tangles himself in the string. He has more energy than Bob did when he went OTJ.

One more, he is trying to get me to pick him up because he loves to cuddle and as soon as he is
pick him up he will flip in your arms and put his arms legs around your neck and squeeze the sounds you here are the sounds he makes when he's getting irritated because I won't pick him up

Yes that is what I read that 3mg per day is enough. The dose suggested in the Zobaline description (below). Just cut the tablet in 1/2 and then crush it to sprinkle in food in the AM and 1/2 in the PM. The body can only absorb so much because it is water soluble, so what it doesn't absorb, it will just empty out in the urine. So you don't want to give too much (even though it wouldn't hurt him) but it is a waster of money. For Merlin, it took about 7-8 months for him to start walking on his tippy toes. The other thing I started doing about half way through starting Zobaline, is start massaging and stretching his back toes and basically back legs. I guess kind of like physical therapy. Merlin also had some muscle wasting in the hips probably due to old age, CKD and/or diabetes. I have no idea if that additional "physical therapy," but I do know that once his numbers started to get a little bit under control, he started to improve.

Skittles looks great, strong and has excellent numbers so maybe Zobaline will help him improve much faster.

Zobaline description and dose amount: http://www.ilifelink.com/zobaline-for_diabetic_cats-3_mg_x_60_tablets.html

"One 3 mg tablet of methylcobalamin administered once per day is reported to reverse most or all of the symptoms of feline diabetic neuropathy within a few weeks."

Please be sure to tell us once you start seeing improvement...hopefully it won't take too long.

Thank you! I noticed last night and my son noticed just a little while ago that he looks like he is walking better already anyway. It's not from the meds because he has only been on it 3 days. All 3 days I have given it to him at once.
My son doesn't live here so he can probably see more then I can.
