A couple of fellow UKers here asked recently how I’ve got on with the new vet I’m using for my civvie Sapphire after an unfortunate experience
with the previous one at the start of this year. The answer is - so far so good.
We all know that a good vet is worth their weight in gold and I’m very relieved to have found a cat-only/specialist mobile practice that also saves the angst of making a visit. I heard of them a while ago and when my fellow UKer and friend Elizabeth started using them and gave glowing reports, that was good enough for me. Visits have now been made and the results of comprehensive blood and urine tests emailed and explained to me... I’ve been so worried but it turns out that although there are a couple of issues to keep an eye on, Saff is ok to have the dental she needs. Of course I’m dreading it but I know it has to be done and the vet is extremely kind and caring, as well as highly skilled:

I know that not everyone has the option of a different vet if they’re not 100% happy with their existing one, but I’d say definitely look around, you may be pleasantly surprised at what’s out there.
