New uses for used lancets?

I don't see the "Community" forum, where this really should go, so will post here instead.

Yesterday I had to open my watch to change the battery, and nothing was small and fine enough to get into the tiny crack - until I tried a used lancet. It opened the watch like a charm! I've also used one as a letter opener (not perfectly neat, but better than ripping it open) and wonder if others could also share their uses for lancets. (Syringes - I don't know - self-defense?? )

After all, this has only been in Ragnar's clean little ear one time, and blood doesn't seem to adhere to lancets. (I use the Accu-Chek Softclix lancing device, set on 2.5 or 3 human-finger setting, which produces just the right sized drop after a good warming.)

Blessings!

Hi,

I'm really glad you couldn't find the 'community forum'. Sometimes those of us who only frequent the 'main' FDMB forum could really use a good laugh!

we shrink wrap lots of stuff for the holiday season at work. some times the item bubbles up when you use the heat gun.
If I poke it with a lancet it lets the air out without leaving a huge hole in the packaging.

I also was tring to get a bit of something out of my keyboard and it worked great
