Hey so pumpkin and I are new to this medicine. He’s only had 3 doses. I just gave him his dose and he went to jump on my bed and didn’t have enough strength to get himself up. Could this be due to just getting his shot a minute before? Maybe I’m just being an over protective mama but he fell on his back and looked scared :/

Diabetic neuropathy can cause muscle weakness particularly in the hind legs if blood glucose levels have been elevated for a long time. I believe some users in the forum have successfully reversed neuropathy with treatment [Vitamin B12 and other supplements]. Check out this thread for more details.

Have you checked out the stickies at the top of the forum pages? http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/beginners-guide-to-novolin-humulin-nph.186097/ Also, it would be helpful if you update your signature with some vital information on Pumpkin so people will know how to advise you. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/editing-your-signature-profile-and-preferences.130340/ And, not to dump so much on you at one time, but starting a spreadsheet with info on Pumpkin's blood glucose levels and dosages can help identify patterns to see how he is responding to the insulin.
