Hello ☺️

Struggling to find the right can cat food that will fit both my cats needs. I have one diabetic cat with very high sugars on 4 units vetsulin currently on mostly dry food that I want to switch to wet food. I keep running into issues transitioning because my other cat gets pancreatitis and needs a very low fat diet. I've currently been using smalls delivery for wet food but any time I try wet foods my pancreatic cat starts getting sick and vomiting all the time. Any suggestions on a wet cat food brand low fat AND low carb?

@Cait Pilinko I've started a new thread for you so you can get more eyes on your situation.

By the way, many diabetic cats get pancreatitis, so finding a diet for both is common here. Pancreatitis kitties typically don't need a low fat diet. Pancreatitis dogs do. More information in this post: A Primer On Pancreatitis It could be possible your pancreatitis kitty has food allergies to something in the smalls food?

What type of meat are you feeding the diabetic now? Can you feed them separately? There are feeders that are microchip activated that you can set up for each cat.

Would it be possible to feed the cats separate foods for their needs?

I think Smalls just has the common proteins of chicken, turkey, and beef. Those are common culprits of food allergies / sensitivities in cats. Can you try feeding your pancreatitis cat a novel protein such as rabbit? There are LID rabbit canned cat foods like Koha and Nature's Variety you can try. These are generally low in carbs but you'll want to double check.
