I just posted on your other thread but just wondering what type of insulin your cat is on and why has she been at he vets for 4 days? Scrabble's bg was 506 when he was diagnosed, we were on Lantus for 3 months and are now otj! I am sure lots of people will come along to help!
Sometimes the glucose can go very high *because* they are at the vet's!! It's called "vet stress." When Ragnar was OTJ, his home BG was around 70, but at the vet's, over 200. Dr. Jen said not to worry (we'd compared meters, and it wasn't that) - he was just stressed, and BG goes up, WAY up, from stress!!
I wonder if this cat could come home, relax, and be home tested, or whether he needs treatment he can only get at the vet's. They don't love having their ears pricked at home either, but it doesn't raise BG the way a trip to the vet does.
