We are Liz and Jack. Jack has been diabetic since Feb 2104. He's also had CKD for nearly 3 years and is on daily sub-q fluids and a home made kidney diet. His insulin is Lantus and we have not been able to regulate him well. Part of that, I think, has been due to very minimal advice and instruction from the vets we've seen. They don't seem to understand the nature of his curves - high and flat many days. Already from reading a bit on this site, I'm now learning for the first time, that these are not unheard of with Lantus. It's bee frustrating, but we're not giving up.

I am also new here and not expierienced enough to offer any advice,sounds like you have your hands full.But just wanted to say howdy and best of luck to you and Jack.I have a cat named Jackson,jax for short(plus 5 others).Make sure you get hooked up on the Lantus Forum,they have tight and relaxed.You will get lots of sound advice here,that you cant find elsewhere.
