New Member please help!

My cat gets 3 units of insulin and my boyfriend accidentally just gave him 3.5 units. I can’t reach my vet and am wondering if I should take him to an emergency vet.
Does anyone have any information or experience with a similar situation? I’m really scared and freaking out.
Any advice is much appreciated!!

Arde you home testing Jack's blood sugar at home?
If not what were last BGs with the 3 unit dose?
What insulin and how long now since the shot?
Because of smal increase (o.5 units with regular 3 unit dose) I wouod not expect a problem but I wouod monitor Jack and if it looks like BG is going low then feed high carb dry or even a sugar suripe like Kero or mable sugar. You may have to syringe the sugar.

Hi take a big breath first it may not be something terrible but you do need to monitor him for the next hours at least.

How long has it been since he got the shoot?

As Larry asked are you home testing? Is he acting normal ?
