Are you going to be hometesting the BGs ? and Lantus is a great insulin for cats.
What type of glucose meter are you using?
0.5 unit sounds like a good starting dose.

I will be testing the curve as I push the first.5 of the unit to see what it does. I have him on fancy feast pate
