Hi Everyone! Go grateful to be in this group. Mr. Chompers is a rescue that we adopted when he was 8 along with his brother Deacon. He was diagnosed in March when we took him in for trouble walking. Initially he was on Vetsulin, but his numbers continued to climb. He was changed to Lantus 2 days ago and I think we are already seeing improvement in his numbers!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
What are you feeding Mr Chompers?
Are you testing the BG before feeding him?
We recommend giving snacks of low carb food during the cycles as well as the 2 main meals.
Are you giving him Methyl B 12 for the neuropathy?

Thanks for getting Mr. Chompers' spreadsheet set up! If you've not already done so, you may want to read over the sticky notes at the top of the Lantus board. There's a great deal of information about how Lantus works and dosing methods in those notes.

Mr. Chompers gets about 6 half cans of FF (he splits it with his non-diabetic sibling) or the equivalent diabetic-friendly pates daily along with 1/4-1/3 cup of Dr. Easley's dry food. Yes, he is on Methyl B12. Yes, we are home testing. Please see spreadsheet!
