Hi all, my cat Frankie was just diagnosed with diabetes. He just turned 10 on 3/9. He is not on insulin yet but will be soon. I have him on Fancy Feast and Wellness pates & grain free treats. My vet is prescribing Prozinc at $140 a vial. I am here for support & to learn more about feline diabetes.

Sorry about the diagnosis but welcome. The good news is that diabetes is not a death sentence and they can live long healthy lives with it.

We recommend you hone test the blood glucose to keep Frankie safe.
We can help you learn how to do it. I would buy a human glucose meter as it is much cheaper to run than a pet meter and our dosing methods are based on the human meter. The ReliOn meters from Walmart are very inexpensive.
