New Lantus Insulin

The Lantus Pen for Mini Me came in today. And I have no clue where to start with giving it to him... Should I start tonight, tomorrow, this weekend when I can watch him? And how much how often?

may i suggest that you go to the lantus forum -tight regulation and ask there - the people there can give you the best specific advice.

How much does he weigh?
How much should he weigh?

Take the lower value and divide by 2.2 to get weight in kilograms.

Multiply by 0.25 to get an approximate starting dose, per this Tight Regulation stickie post.

Reply - Today Mini me was in a good mood.. playing and purring but he was still eating a lot and peeing a lot. I got the new insulin in but am not sure on starting dose.. can someone advise? He is only getting canned food now Link to yesterdays condo.
