I am new to this board. My 14 year old female Alexandra was diagnosed at the end of August and unfortunately it is proving to be a struggle getting her regulated. I am at the point where she has to get fluids daily and where the vet thinks her quality of life isn't great and is recommending euthanizing her. I am not there yet but am starting to think I am nuts. I am hoping I can find something on this board that will give me hope for my little princess.

Welcome! I am sorry you are having a rough time of it. Let us know what insulin Alexandra is on and at what dose and whether you are home testing or not. Also, what does she eat? If you could put some of this basic info in a signature, it would be helpful.
