New Glucose Meter at Walmart

saw this when I was there yesterday. don't know anything about it other than what i could get from looking it over in the store.

looks to be made by Arkray so perhaps the Arkray strips some buy online will also work with it?

meter was $16.98 and a box of 50 strips was also $16.98

Humm...that's cheaper than the Micro/Confirm - here those are $19.98. Curious....

It looks like it uses the same strips as the Arkray Vital. If that's the case, they are WAY cheaper than the ones for the Confirm or Micro. The buy 4/get 1 free through ADW is about $45 vs. about $70 for the Confirm/Micro. It's still cheaper to get the Vital through ADW than this one from Walmart.

I use the Vital, and really, the drop it takes is still TINY-unless you can't get enough blood even for the other Relion meters, it's not really an issue. It would not stop me from using this meter vs. the Micro.
